Enjoy the Wine Magic as the Fine Wine pairing brings out the taste of the food. Whether it’s the first course or the last, there is a Fine Wine to enhance the flavor of any food. Fine Wines to be enjoyed with a delicate cheese or a bittersweet chocolate, and everything in between.

Rory and Tanya have hosted some EPIC Wine Magic Events. Get some inspiration from them to Create your own Wine Magic Event. These are the Wines they served, but use the Fine Wines you have as you Create your own Wine Magic.

Start with the Wine:

  • Tanya Ricord Pinot Grigio
  • More Than Muse Rose’
  • Adele Zinfandel
  • Nile Eddy Pinot Noir
  • Ricord Merlot
  • Donna Walker Cabernet Sauvignon

Having several types of wines available for the event allows each guest to enjoy a variety of Food and Wine combinations. You can wash and dry the glasses as you progress through the courses, but it’s best to have enough glasses if possible.

Bring on the Food!

Charcuterie Board: Your charcuterie board can be as simple or as fancy as you choose. Start with some ham, salami, or mortadella, as well as savory meats like beef or turkey. Add a few varieties of briny olives. A selection of cheeses, such as Brie, aged Cheddar, and marinated fresh Mozzarella. Small clusters of grapes, quartered figs, sliced apples, sliced cucumbers, sliced or quartered radishes, and cherry tomato “flowers”. Crunchy bites of nuts, parmesan crisps, crackers or crunchy breadsticks. Don’t forget condiments like jams, chutneys, or mustards to finish the board.

Appetizers/Starters: The Charcuterie Board is followed by a light salad, a Garden or Caesar, for instance. Be sure to serve the dressing on the side for the guest to add their own amount to savor along with their Fine Wine. A light appetizer such Grilled Skewered Shrimp or Stuffed Mushrooms are usually served.

Mains: The Main Course features both a Fish Dish and a Beef Dish. Salmon and Barramundi are Tasty Favorites for the Fish Course. The Beef, whether a Roast, Prime Rib, or Steaks, are prepared to allow the Meat to pair well with the wine.

Dessert: You can’t go wrong with a Chocolate Plate. A piece of Dark Chocolate with a Merlot brings out the true essence of the flavor of the chocolate. Chocolate Cake or a Chocolate Mousse. Both are also Highly Enjoyable paired with a Merlot.

The Wine Magic Happens When the Food and Wines are Ready

  • To Begin: Tasting begins from the lightest Wines to the heaviest. Start with the Tanya Ricord Pinot Grigio and the More Than Muse Rose’ with the Charcuterie Board. This opens up the palette and readies the senses to experience the flavor combinations.
  • Next come the Starters: Moving into the Salads and Starters, we are ready for the more medium bodied red such as Nile Eddy Pinot Noir. Finally entering into the Reds, which are favorites of many.
  • Moving into the Mains: The heartier beef entrees call for heartier reds, Adele Zin and Donna Walker Cabernet Sauvignon, for example. The Wine Magic is beginning to Flow.
  • At Last, Dessert: Bring out the Chocolate Plate or Chocolate Cake to enjoy with the Ricord Merlot. This fully rounds out the Wine Magic Event!
  • Continue Tasting as the Wine Magic Event Allows: If there are wines left after the traditional pairing, this allows for experimentation of different flavor combinations. This is where the Extra Glasses come in handy.
